fitted together, like two halves of a heart.

daddy and my grandmother are the few whom i see less often,
but nonetheless dear to me.
gatherings like this are great,
whereby we get to see the distant relatives and relatives who have migrated.
it's also nice to receive compliments from one another,
such as-
aunty: "wah samantha u slim down alot !"
samantha: "thank you thank you !"
grandma's fren: "i think among the 4, samantha is the prettiest."
samantha: "thank you thank you."
so samantha was grinning away through the conversation.
my grandma had a gambling session with her friends in the backyard.
the adults had their own conversations with wine or champange at the porch.
the kids used to chase each other around the house,
but not anymore. they play their electronic gadgets now.
whereas us the more sensible ones gathered in a room,
had our own conversations, listen to melvin play the guitar n what not.
there was something missing though,
my favourite cousin marissa.
p/s: below is the greatest mum in the whole wide world,
the one i so love & so treasure.
p/p/s: i called her a brinjal that day.
